KeyHealth’s enhanced benefits are released during October and November of each year for the following year and 2010 will be a big year for South Africa and for KeyHealth members!
The period October to November is the period to evaluate your particular benefit option, in terms of it’s suitability to your changing health status and to decide if you want to upgrade to more comprehensive benefits, to remain as you are, or possibly due to changed circumstances elect a lower benefit option.
To assist you in your evaluation and understanding of the choices for 2010, representatives from KeyHealth are available for scheduled presentations at your workplace.
Your HR department and Payroll section together with an accredited broker, hold the key to unlocking understanding and knowledge about KeyHealth’s various benefit options. Please contact them to arrange dates on which presentations can be held as well as for application forms and benefit option brochures.
Should you be entrusted with making arrangements for presentations at your workplace, we kindly invite you to give us a ring on 0860 671 050, and we will set up a time, date and venue to give you our best assistance.
Please keep in touch with your HR department, who usually arrange and communicate these dates to you.
Within Local Authorities, the period October to November is traditionally know as the Freedom of Association (FOA) period, this being a South African Local Government Bargaining Council (SALGBC) agreed to period,
where employees within Local Government can join KeyHealth without the imposition
of waiting periods or premium penalties, and
where local authority employees who may be disillusioned with their existing medical schemes are also welcome to switch to KeyHealth, and
where you can elect a different benefit option for the following year.
The FOA period is also the time that representatives from KeyHealth will be scheduling visits to Local Authorities nationally, to enlighten KeyHealth members of changes and enhancements to the different benefit options.
Our HR or Payroll division will have the details of our scheduled presentations at your workplace, please keep in contact with them. We will also be sending out short messages (SMS’s) to you, to notifying you of presentations in certain areas.
